I'm a Pacific Northwest girl at heart. I grew up in a small town, went to school in the big city, had a short stint on the East Coast while going to graduate school but I'm finally back home.
I've imported my Bible scholar husband and we're growing our family one kid at a time. Our first babies were our dogs and we struggled with infertility and chronic miscarriages for years before being blessed with our miracle baby, Kaypha. I know moms always say that about their kids but with him it's really true - even our doctor was shocked he made it through my the entire pregnancy and is a happy healthy guy.
I love baking, canning, gardening, sewing, knitting and just general crafting. I love learning how to do things from scratch - if only to appreciate the modern conveniences we are surrounded with. I'm not a hippie, but I think it's important to take care of the planet God has given us. We oppose genetically modified crops, we believe a low-pesticide and low-chemical earth is healthier for all involved and we want to leave this place better than we found it instead of stripped of all it's beauty and value.
I use my blog to share about my creative endeavors, recipes, tutorials, crafty ideas that aren't mine but I love, and green[ish] parenting. Grab a cup of tea and stay a while. I hope you find something here you'll love!
